Masters Of Simulation Games

Astragon Entertainment GmbH is a recognized German game developer known for their simulator games. They emphasize realism and lifelike experience to seemingly mundane activities or occupation, particularly handling heavy pieces of machinery. Their games offer the experience of different occupations instead of dwelling into fantasy or fictional worlds. Some of their successful series were Bus Simulator, Construction Simulator, and Farming Simulator. The simple yet immersive experience of the simulator games garner enough fans, as well as an attractive video series for Youtube Let’s Plays. The lifelike nature of their simulation games is also good for casual players who just want to chill out from the throttle of competitive and strategy gaming. They recently joined the mobile gaming industry as they launch Construction Simulator 2014 for mobile devices. Since then they produce games not only for PC but also for mobile devices.

Cross Country Travel

Truck Simulator 19 allows players to experience the daily routine of a truck driver. Players take the role of a truck driver who is tasked by various clients to transport freight. The drivable trucks are officially licensed by American truck companies Kenworth and Mack. Having a major licenser in games is a plus point for additional publicity. The core game mechanics are hiring drivers, acquiring new trucks and establishing a flourishing trucking business. Truck Simulator 19 has a massive open world modeled after the United States of America. There are over 30 cities to travel with roads and highways to traverse. Players can view very detailed sceneries of farmlands and desert biomes. They will see the interior of an actual truck cab since it is filled with functional cockpit devices like an air horn, cruise control, indicators, and lights. Each story mission assigns various precious cargos to deliver. There are operational cockpits with 3 varying cabs to choose from. Players have to deliver items like diggers, farm machines, food, medical and military cargo, and even an airplane. Every successful delivery yields bonus points. They can accumulate more points by fulfilling special transport tasks. More locations are unlocked from the East Coast up to the edges of the country. One of the game’s highlight is establishing a truck driving company. Players can purchase additional drivers, trucks, depots and transport hubs so that they can earn more money. They will also encounter challenges like fatigue, changing the weather, day-night cycle, limited fuel AI traffic and traffic violations. It’s up to the players on how they will handle them. They have to rest at motels, fuel up their vehicles, be careful at harsh weathers and follow the traffic laws. The driving game includes two controller setup: “tilt, wheel & arrow” and slider to suit different types of player preferences.
